An Excerpt.

As I am actively working on my first novel these days, thanks to constant encouragement from my amazing friends. Right now it’s in that phase where I am dumping words in it to form a story.

So, I thought why don’t I share an excerpt from it with you guys…

And you know I treasure your feedback, so please feel free..

She stood on a rail track, looking at the Faint trail of smoke rising and blending in the background of clear sky.

In the broad day light she could see the metal giant crawling towards her with all its might.

Warning her. Wailing at the top of its lungs. Its deafening whistle teasing her ears.

Despair preserved her in time, numbing her remaining willingness to save her life.

She kept staring at it blankly. Hypnotized. Lobotomized. Unable to move.

Her gaze slowly shifted to her feet chained to the tracks and her helplessness pushed it back to the monster that was galloping towards her now.

She stared into the glaring eyes of the gun-metal gray giant getting bigger with her every passing breath.

She gradually lifted her arms and stretched them out.

A submissive smile touch her defeated face as she closed her eyes and her head dropped back with a jerk.

Waiting to embrace the inevitable.

To turn into a shredded cloud of shrapnels and dust.

  1. Damnnn! You write fiction?!!! WOW!!! This was good. I would lose lobotomy in the sentence. It’s not often used word and it is a tongue twister. It slows down the flow of the text.

And one more advice that helped me numerous times: “You’ll never make it”… These words only made me work harder and more resolved to write. 😀

    1. I am so happy you felt that way. Now the problem is its difficult to pick anything out of the dumpster i am sitting on throwing words in.
This was one of few pieces that had some shape.
Will definitely keep sharing as it progresses.
Thank you so much for encouragement at this point , now even i am excited about it. 😆

    1. I was really nervous about posting anything about my book. There’s difference between blogging and writing a book they are poles apart.
But the support i am getting is overwhelming. Thanks for being here in thick and thin.
I am lucky to have friends like you on blogosphere 🙂
