Who set the horizon ablaze??
Like our souls weren’t seared enough already?
Like regrets haven’t tried to torch our minds turning every fragment of our conscious into soft grey aches flying around us as we cover this dreadful transition between life and death.
Like some pixel of our once scarlet heart managed to save hint of colour from this mindlessly cruel world.
So who got this idea?
Couldn’t they see we are just a bunch of walking carcasses?
Broken and burnt.
Drained out of emotions.
Or let’s say forced to drain out emotions.
Or let’s just admit we veil our feelings behind our ashen faces and painfully painted smiles.
Pretending to be lifeless.
I can see flames rising up digging its claws in cottony clouds helplessly hovering over the horizon. Poor thing probably came to bless the land with rain.
Another farcical image of despair and injustice.
Somebody thought it might be entertaining for carcasses to look up at the only thing that gives them some hope and see that burning as well.
