When your forehead touched the ground
And the thirsty prayer mat
Drank your tears
You cried in surrender
Believing it’s the end
It over..
You were crumbling
Like a burned down structure
Someone was watching you over
Hiding behind the pillars of your mosque
The prayers you forgot you ever said
And of those who loved you
They all were there all along
Hiding in pillars
Sometimes sitting by your feet
Kneeling with you
Crying with you
Patiently
Waiting for their turn…
