Eyes brimming with dreams..

I wake up everyday

And wrap myself in a thick black robe

And start walking

In the narrow chaotic streets

Laced with splotchy noises

With random heaps of stinking trash

Sitting on the uneven ground

I walk in my rugged leather sandals

Only shoes that wouldn’t mind

Getting smeared with filth

Getting hurt and misshapen

I walk staring straight

With my eyes brimming with dreams

I walk.. and walk..

With spears of words shooting at me

From every window

I keep walking

Untill I’m back home

I step out of my wet red sandals

And unwrap my robe

Wet and heavy with sticky blood

To reveal my horribly scarred body

I give my wounds a final look

And I go to sleep

With eyes still brimming with dreams

Like every night

As I know

The night I deprive myself of dreams

Will be the last night of me..

  1. Interesting, surely, but I think yet you may not have done this title due justice, because the verse looks inward rather than describing the dreams, looking back instead on old scars. At first robed then not, with the body as a revelation. We do expose ourselves entirely to our dreams, and here I’ve been talking with my familiars about psychic projection, or imparting my own traits and desires on objects I see in daily life. 🙂 Happy New Year, Stone! Also, I will take my own interpretation of the title in a few minutes, after a cig and a sip of coffee; hope you don’t mind. I’ll be sure to dedicate the piece to you, of course, my friend.

    1. I wrote it in entirely different context but now I am thinking..hmm..

My writing is an impulsive process it’s literally load and shoot situation sometimes without even aiming. I felt something and just write and post it that leaves me bad with titles. Lol.

For this I had the idea of “never stop dreaming no matter how bleak that circumstances are” but I like it could be interpreted differently. Thanks for that 🙂

Happy new year to you too even thought I’m pretty I will be here to wish you all again.
No no I don’t mind at all. I would love to read that. Thank you so much for reading and truely appriciating. I treasure readers like you 🙂
