I might sound like an idiot bragging about reviews of my book. But I have to share with you.
I worked really hard until the point of release of the book and then I just let it go. Notifying people on mailing list and re-blogging was the last thing I did.
I decided I wont ask for reviews.
There is an option you can direct the readers to the review page from the last page of book.
But I didn’t add it.
I thought I had asked enough favor already. The way you all have been standing by me. I thought asking for one more thing would be too much.
And then I started getting reviews. My wonderful friends wrote reviews on posts, Amazon (3 separate amazon sites, amazon.com, amazon.in and amazon.co.uk) and goodreads.
Each one of them came as total surprise.
I shared the ones written on wordpress blog posts, let me share the ones on Amazon.
This one was by River Dixon, one of the most supportive and kindest blog friend. He is so unconditionally supportive sometimes it’s hard to believe I happen to know him here only. Real life people haven’t been this supportive. He is one of a kind!
Then Mike. I treasure talented people like him. We have always had meaningful conversations in comments. I always feel we have a thread of posts under one post, each touching new depth of the subject. It’s great to have people with a broad perspective around.
And Dhruv. He is a silent reader and supporter. Doesn’t blog a lot but he reached out to me when I wrote about depression and I had no idea he had gotten the book and written a review. It’s on amazon.in. Thanks a lot man!
I deeply appreciate what you guys do for me, without even asking. I consider it a gift on publishing of my book and trust me it’s one of the best gifts I ever had.
I really felt like sharing these reviews with you all.
I’m kinda sensitive these days so taking everything in small morsels.
Here’s the link to my post about the book – All About Swinging Sanity
And it’s available on amazon on following link: Swinging Sanity
Thanks a lot everyone. I am blessed to be here. 😊
