So this happened..
Hmm
So half of it is like really awesome brownie and other half is really awesome charcoal!!
This happens when u get the measurements wrong.
This dish turned out to be too big and then I had to fit it diagonally.
And then I got the time wrong maybe..
Well I smelled something burning and saw this!!
I scraped the charcoal a little and still could see something brown underneath.
So when it’s cool I might try to rescue it.
I had planned to drizzle caramel on it and then sprinkle sea salt.
Now I dont know what I will do eventually.
Well.
This situation got me a bit stress so I burried myself under blanket with chips and skittles.
Chips and skittles are cathartic combo.
Try it!
That’s how im waiting for the brownie+charcoal to cool down and my brain too.
Wish me luck guys.
That looks like everything I bake in my ancient oven, sadly. Half done here, charcoal there. I try to get the measurements dead on but the biggest obstacle is it has no numerical temp settings. Bake, t bake, broil, or clean. Those are my only options. Never gonna become Betty Crocker using that dinosaur.
Anyway, I hope it tastes good at least on one side. π

When I was in practice I have baked perfect cakes and cookies in a pan on stove. No over required.
You fill a big pot with stone and there you have a perfectly working oven!

Scrape the burnt part and be grateful for the part that is not burnt! π
Believe me this happens with every home baker, at least once. π

That’s what I did. Scraped the burnt parts and will frost the whole thing so there’s still home.
What if I tell you once upon a time I was a professional Baker like 6 7 years back π

See that’s why I keep these two worlds separate.
People who had to eat those brownies doesn’t know. They are not here.

It’s ok. You can still enjoy the good parts that weren’t burned. And don’t worry, I’ve burned, botched, destroyed many many batches of cookies, brownies and cakes, but I still keep baking, makes the house smell yummy. π

Thank you! That’s what I will say if I burn food next time and people can detect the burnt flavour. π

You could scrape off the burned bits, and break the rest of it into little pieces, layer it and make a brownie tiramisu. Yum! π

I didnt think of that. Next time if I burn it more (hopefully not) I might actually do this tiramisu thing π
