I had a super duper idea for new post and it just evaporated from my head.
For next few hours I was ransacking my thoughts in hope of finding any trace of the lost idea.
Well. I gave up!!
So I had a bad phase I didn’t tell many people about because i didn’t know what it was.
Let’s say I was anxious when everything was going well untill I realized I missed family.
Does it happen that one day when everything is perfect your brain teases you and say “you know it could be different and you would be happier”
It was a week of that teasing.
Well. But then you act like grown ups and pretend you are busy.
Sadly most of the time we are our only audience in this tragic act.
Before I drag you all into my cave of gloom let’s change the topic.
John Wick!
Yes.
So Sam suggested I stop be cruel to my own self and enjoy some movie.
So I went on to watch John Wick (part.1)
This post is not about this movie that’s why it’s not the title of the post.
I absolutely love thrillers. I lije Keanu Reeves.
It was a really good movie!
The dog daisy took my breath away. So cute!
But I don’t know what to say. What I write are not exactly movie reviews they are more like me reflecting on the movie.
In thrillers there’s simple bottomline.
There are good guys and bad guys both trying to kill/rob/loot/ each other or protecting something/someone.
Car chases, fights bloodshed some emotionally love/family element and in the end good guys win!
The funny part tho.. ahaha
Try this.
Enable subtitles!
And especially focus on the places where there are no lines.
Car screeching
Mumbling in a distance
Dog whining
Gun shots fired
Moaning
Grunting
Breathing heavily
And I found this gem on Google for you all..
I don’t know about you guys but in the middle of a bloody fight if I read sound effects explained on screen, I end up laughing while there’s a blood bath going on onscreen.
And then I question myself…are you sure you are not a total psycho yet??
Well it’s Sunday.
Sundays are mostly most stressful days as you have to take care of tons of pending work.
So all the best on dealing with that. I’m on autopilot.
I dealt with a shit ton but can’t even remember.
Oh a pro tip! If you feel you are sinking in depression do something extremely opposite of your routine.
Surprise yourself!
I suggested it to a friend recently and it seemed to work.
Was this that topic?? I don’t know.
That’s all for now.
Have a good day 🙂

Good post for me to read today. Suffering through way too many rejections: from potential employers to potential publishers. It’s been two weeks of ‘NO! YOU’RE NOT GOOD ENOUGH’ being screamed at me. So, I’ll do something opposite to my routine. Imma gonna ignore the manuscript extracts from those in my writing group (for just one day) and watch some TV. Maybe even John Wick 🙂

oh God in the same boat!!
i got a call from potential employers and i was half sleeping, haven’t heard from them after that but i’m hopeful. and two weeks is not a very long time normally hiring process itself takes months so hang in there.
yes do it! it works. just surprise your own mind.
yeah TV/Movies help.
don’t worry. it’s never a rejection. that call helped me revamp my resume’ and prepared me for next interview. they are just lesson .🤗

I agree, subtitles or captions to movies or TV shows are usually pretty funny! 🙂

Bless your stabby fingers, a reference to John Wick and Supernatural! Too much awesomness.
I don’t stop at just laughter during the bloodbath scenes (with or without subtitles), I cheer them on, so until you get that warped… you’re cool. 😉

I have a faint heart I literally block screen with my hands or suddenly unplug headphones if it’s too much violence.
I have really stupid reflexes when I’m watching action/thriller.
