I heard my name between serrated whispers
Those whispers crawled like slimy worms over my solitude
Disgust rose to my throat like mercury shooting up
And I saw fear peeking through curtains with conniving eyes
Rubbing its hand together, watching my next move
My wings started rolling into themselves from all edges, slowly
Every feather starting folding like those shy plants, one by one
I felt my body hardening and shrinking like I was in hot gas chamber
My wings eventually wrapped my entire existence into a shriveled cocoon.
Just to hide a million dreams my mind knit every day
To shield precious secrets of my heart, that can be muddled with one evils gaze.
