Stupid Migraine #poem

Migraine
Blinking pain
My troubles small
My life so plain
I live in the desert
Dreaming of rain
I pushed myself
When I heard
No pain no gain
But this migraine
Son of a bitch
Is sniggering
At me
In disdain
Bashing my head
With a cane
I am afraid
It will burst
A thin vein
I’m running
Out of meds
It’s driving me
Insane
Stupid migraine
All I asked for
Was a little rain

    1. Oh God! This sucks.
A few things that work for me.a cold pack under shoulders or neck helps.
My doctor prescribed me pain killer and muscle relaxant both. If you get these often better you get something prescribed for yourself.
Don’t stress yourself at all! You have to imagine yourself as a zen master. Keep everything side for a while.
Hope you get better soon. 🙂

      1. Zen master is a nice description, because I know these aches much better than many doctors. It is more exotic as migraine which is also much better researched. My greatest help was in fact ostheopathy, besides I inhale medical oxygene and use lidocaine nasal spray and as well a natural creme which promotes the blood ciruclation in my leftside face. Fortunately, the heave clusters now do not happen too often anymore (2014, 2017 and 2020), it was reallymuch worse in the past when it happened each year for a period of up to 12 weeks on a daily basis. The disease is known since antique times, Nepoleon Bonaparte had it and among others Franz Kafka (German writer), Frank Capra (US film director) and the Harry Potter main actor Daniel Radcliffe so I am in very good company.
