About WordPress Plans Expiry

Hey guys

First of all, this is nothing against WordPress, it’s just the way websites/blogs work sometimes.

Just something I came across so I thought maybe I should share it with you all too.

2 years back I registered for the premium plan on WordPress. With the auto-renewal option on.

So last year it automatically renewed the plan.

This year since I was also moving my back accounts and all after the big move, I went on to check the renewal date.

What I found out is, that your auto-renewal date is one month before the date of expiry of your plan.

So, last year I actually paid for 1 month more.

I switched the auto-renewal off this time, and it actually tells you every day when your plan/domain registration is expiring, once there’s less than a month in expiry.

If you have auto-pay on and you are afraid you might forget to renew the plan on time, you can keep it on.

If you are like me and check your blog frequently, maybe you should wait until it actually expires or there are 1 – 2 days left.
